The Glexo Full set comprises four different types of PDR tabs designed for a comprehensive range of tasks:
1. Large Rectangular tab: Designed for distributing force evenly without concentrating impact. Allows for uniform lifting of damaged areas without creating focal points.
2. Large Round tab: Designed for concentrated force with a focus on impact. Enables localized lifting of damaged areas with a central impact point on the tab.
3. Small Round tab: Designed for concentrated force on small areas. Facilitates localized lifting of small damaged sections without affecting adjacent areas, with the impact cantered on the tab.
4. Crease Rectangular tab: Designed for repairing extended narrow damage. Allows for lifting elongated sections of metal without affecting neighbouring areas.
The Glexo Full set is a comprehensive cold glue set designed to tackle a wide range of tasks in PDR and body repair. It's an uncompromising choice with limitless possibilities.
Glexo Kits are crafted to assist PDR and body repair technicians. The Glexo system is an exceptional PDR tool and an innovative solution that significantly speeds up typical work execution, leading to increased profitability in repairs.
This system relies on a unique adhesive composition known as "PDR cold glue" with non-Newtonian properties. The adhesive composition is applied to the metal Glexo PDR tabs and used in conjunction with them to repair dents at various stages of the process. The system is versatile, performing admirably in both the initial stage of work when quick restoration of shape is required, and the final stages demanding meticulous actions.
Glexo cold glue stands out for its remarkably high adhesive properties, long service life, wide temperature range of application, and compatibility with tabs and slide hammers of any kind. All tabs are equipped with the patented Glexo fastening system, ensuring swift and secure attachment to the slide hammer. The second version of Glexo features a patented O-ring solution, providing reliable long-term fixation for safe working. In the new version of Glexo PDR tool sets, the tabs are also equipped with a reinforced thread with a larger diameter to withstand the highest loads.
Preparing the cold glue set for work:
-Thoroughly prepare the surface of the metal PDR tabs to ensure excellent adhesion of the cold glue. It is recommended to carefully degrease the tab before applying.
-The amount of cold glue used depends on the task at hand. Applying more adhesive to the tab yields a smoother result. Aim for a thickness of approximately 7mm/0.3" to cover the tab adequately.
-To ensure excellent adhesion and prevent peeling, heat the tab with a heat gun to a temperature of around 70C/160F before applying the composition. Press the composition tightly onto the tab and apply some to the tab edges.
-There's no need to remove the cold glue from the tab after each work session. Utilize the provided anti-adhesive films to store the tabs with the applied composition.
Working with the Glexo system:
-Choose a tab based on the task, considering that round tabs are effective for pulling metal at the center, while rectangular tabs provide even lifting across a wide area.
-The Glexo Full kit includes large tabs that demonstrate their full potential with heavy slide hammers.
-Glexo tabs are compatible with any industry-standard PDR slide hammer. It's important to note that the Glexo system is not recommended for use with aluminum slide hammers to avoid damaging the hammer head.
-First, fix the tab in the PDR slide hammer and then glue it to the work area. This procedure helps protect the car's paintwork from accidental damage caused by the slide hammer.
-Before commencing work, ensure the threaded assembly of the tab is firmly tightened in the hammer. The tabs feature O-rings to prevent unwinding, but it's still important to monitor the tab's position in the hammer socket during operation.
-The impact's effectiveness becomes more pronounced with sharper blows.
-Tabs can be used at angles or with partial contact with the surface if a specific effect is desired.
Key considerations when working with PDR cold glue:
-Proper surface preparation is crucial for high work efficiency. Thoroughly clean and degrease the part's surface. Glexo SPS can be used for deep cleaning.
-The cold glue can be shaped directly on the tab, allowing for variations in impact nature and shape. For instance, giving the composition a pyramid shape on a round tab will yield more pronounced results.
-If a particularly strong effect is desired, the repaired surface can be warmed up with a heat gun.
Important reminder: The Glexo system is not recommended for use with aluminum slide hammers to prevent hammer head breakage.
The Glexo Full set comes with a 1-year warranty.
